Basement Theatre's Production of Noël Coward's 'Hay Fever' is a Hit in Shelburne, Nova Scotia -- Play Held Over For One More Performance.
Basement Theatre's ambitious production of Noël Coward's 'Hay Fever' which was staged at the Osprey Arts Centre on November 26, 27 and 28, has taken the county by surprise and delighted near sold out audiences. From the beginning of the first act to the end of the third, audiences from as far as Halifax have been smiling and laughing their way through a truly entertaining, sophisticated and polished show.
Interest in this year's Basement Theatre production has been high throughout the pre-production, with the curiosity and excitement running right through to Sunday's matinee performance. The performance on Sunday was to be the last show however, the employees of a local company decided they needed a group evening out and chose to come see 'Hay Fever'. That in itself was a much welcome development, but as it turns out, due to the success of this production of 'Hay Fever', the buzz around the Shelburne County and area has been that there's more than a few people that are hopeful that they too will get a chance to see this play. As a result of all this interest, the cast and crew of Basement Theatre along with the Osprey Arts Centre, have excitedly and gamely agreed to do one last show.
Noël Coward's Hay Fever was performed at the Osprey Arts Centre in Shelburne on November 26th, 27th, 28th and December 4th, 2010.
